21 January – Aina Khan, attended the Milad un Nabi event at the Ismaili Centre in London.

Leading members of the Muslim community attended the Milad un Nabi (literally meaning the “birth of the Prophet.”) event which was held at the the Ismaili Centre in South Kensington, London. The Ismaili Centre is a religious, social and cultural meeting place for the Ismaili Muslim community in the United Kingdom.

The event was marked by a talk from Professor Ziauddin Sardar, a leading London-based scholar, writer, cultural-critic and public intellectual in the area of Muslim thought.

Aina added;

“The talk given by Prof Sardar was intellectually stimulating and challenging. It was also wonderful to meet again with many inspirational people.”
