Head of Duncan Lewis Islamic Law department Aina Khan was invited to attend a tour of the Penny Appeal charity on 3rd March 2016.
The Penny Appeal is a leading charity based in Wakefield, West Yorkshire and was set up in 2009. The Penny Appeal provides poverty relief across Asia, the Middle East and Africa by offering water solutions, organising mass feedings, supporting orphan care and providing emergency food and medical aid.
The Penny Appeal has transformed lives and empowered communities around the world, helping to break the poverty cycle and build brighter futures.
On 3 March, Aina Khan was invited to attend a tour of Penny Appeal. Aina said:
