The reception, which was organised in association with Faith Forum for London, was attended by more than 100 representatives and senior figures from London’s major faiths as well as many others who are active members in the community of interfaith work.
The Faiths Forum for London was launched in 2010 and has since then worked to “empower religious communities” and “encourage working together for a better London”.
At the event, mayor of London Boris Johnson gave a crowd rousing speech highlighting how diversity has made London a cultural capital of the world.
Aina Khan attended the event.
Aina added; “It is a massive privilege for us to live and work in a harmonious and diverse London where we can add value to the nation. I specially enjoyed this event and meeting attended by Sikhs in turbans, Buddhist monks in robes, Muslim women in Hijabs and more.”
